Removal procedure
1. Remove the cover to remove the lower seat belt anchor.
2. Remove the bolt and remove the lower seat belt anchor.
3. Remove the B-pillar lower decorative molding. See Section 9G, Interior lining.
4. Remove the plastic cover to remove the upper seat belt anchor.
5. Loosen the screws and remove the seat belt guide.
6. Loosen the bolt and remove the upper seat belt anchor.
7. Remove the screw from the seat belt retractor holder.
8. Remove the bolt and remove the seat belt retractor.
Installation procedure
Attention! If the wrong screw is used to fasten the retractor, the seat belt pretensioner may not function properly in the event of an accident, which could result in injury.
Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals can lead to rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to prevent premature corrosion.
1. Install the seat belt retractor with the bolt and screw.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt retractor bolt to 38 Nm (28 lb-ft).
Tighten the seat belt retractor screw to 10 Nm (7 lb-ft).
2. Install the upper seat belt anchor with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt mounting bolt to 38 Nm (28 lb-ft).
3. Install the seat belt guide with the screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws securing the seat belt guide with a torque of 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
4. Establish a plastic cover of fastening of a seat belt.
5. Install the B-pillar lower decorative molding. See Section 9G, Interior lining.
6. Attach the lower seat belt anchor with the bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the seat belt mounting bolt to 38 Nm (28 lb-ft).
7. Install the seat belt anchor cover.
