A gasket is installed between the cylinder head flanges and the intake pipe. If its tightness is violated, the engine runs unevenly («troit»). If the problem cannot be corrected by tightening the intake pipe, replace the gasket.
1. Remove the cylinder head assembly with intake pipe (see «Replacing the cylinder head gasket»).
2. Turn out bolts of fastening of an inlet pipe to a head of the block of cylinders.
NOTE: This is how the intake pipe to cylinder head bolts are located.
3. Remove the intake pipe.
4. Take out a lining from grooves of an inlet pipe.
5. Clean the slots in the intake pipe and install a new gasket in them.
6. Install the intake pipe in the reverse order of removal. Bolts of fastening of an inlet pipe tighten evenly crosswise the moment specified in appendix 1.
