Remove the pump for replacement if there is a coolant leak and the noise during its operation is higher than normal.
1. Drain the liquid from the cooling system (see «Coolant replacement»).
2. Remove accessory drive belts (see «Replacing accessory drive belts»).
3. Remove the power steering pump (see «Power steering pump replacement»).
4. Turn out two bolts of fastening of an arm of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering...
5.... and remove the bracket.
6. Loosen the clamp of the radiator outlet hose, squeezing its bent ears with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose...
7.... and disconnect the hose from the water pump nozzle.
8. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a water distribution pipe to the water pump.
NOTE: The manifold has been removed for clarity.
WARNING: The water distribution pipe flange is sealed with a rubber ring. Replace this ring each time the joint is disassembled.
9. Turn out three bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump and remove a pulley.
10. Turn out five bolts of fastening of the water pump...
NOTE: Shown with removed engine for clarity.
11.... and remove the pump.
WARNING: The pump housing flange is sealed with a rubber gasket. Replace this gasket with a new one each time the connection is disassembled.
12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
13. Fill with coolant (see «Coolant replacement»).
