For the Russian market, Chevrolet Aveo cars are equipped with a R4 16V ECOTEC А16 XER gasoline engine (1.6 l, 115 hp).
The car is produced with sedan and five-door hatchback bodies.
Cars are equipped with a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic (except for LS) gearbox.
Chevrolet Aveo cars are delivered to the Russian market in three basic configurations:
- LS - manual transmission, power steering, driver and front passenger airbags, braking assistance system, anti-lock braking system, tinted door and rear windows, body-colored bumpers; audio system with CD/MP3, immobilizer, central locking, front electric windows, height-adjustable steering column; 14-inch forged steel wheels, small spare tire;
- LT - the same as in the LS version, and additionally: automatic transmission, power windows for all doors, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors, heated front seats, headrests for rear passengers, rear seats folding in a proportion of 40x60; air conditioning, exterior door handles and mirrors painted in body color, information display, eyeglass case, steering column adjustment for reach, armrest between the front seats, 15-inch steel stamped rims;
- LTZ - the same as in the LT package, and additionally: driver's seat height adjustment, Bluetooth system, 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, rear parking sensors, side airbags and curtain airbags, leather-trimmed steering wheel.
Car body Chevrolet Aveo load-bearing, all-metal, welded construction with hinged front fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid (tailgate). Windscreen and rear window (tailgate glass) pasted. The driver's seat is adjustable in the longitudinal direction, in terms of backrest and height (not on all configurations), the front passenger seat - in the longitudinal direction and in the backrest. The front and rear seats are equipped with height-adjustable headrests. The rear seat back can be folded forward in parts in a ratio of 40:60 (except for LS).
The transmission is made according to the front-wheel drive scheme with front wheel drives equipped with constant velocity joints.
The front suspension is independent, MacPherson type, spring, with anti-roll bar, with hydraulic shock absorber struts.
The rear suspension is semi-independent, spring, with anti-roll bar, with hydraulic shock absorbers.
The brake mechanisms of the front wheels are disc, ventilated, with a floating caliper, the rear wheels are drum. The brake system is equipped with a vacuum booster.
The steering is safety, with a rack and pinion type steering mechanism, with a hydraulic booster. Steering column adjustable for reach and tilt (in the LS configuration - only in the angle of inclination). The frontal airbag is located in the steering wheel hub.
All vehicles are equipped with retractable diagonal seat belts for the driver, front passenger and all passengers in the rear seat. Frontal airbags are provided for the driver and front passenger, in addition, side airbags and curtain airbags are provided for all passengers and the driver (only in LTZ configuration).
