The starter is mounted on the cylinder block on the rear side of the power unit.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Remove the crankcase protection (see «Removal and installation of mudguards and engine crankcase protection»).
3. Unscrew the nut of the power wire...
4.... and remove the wire from the contact bolt of the traction relay.
5. Turn away a nut of fastening of a control wire of the traction relay.
6. Remove a control wire from a contact bolt of the traction relay and take the removed wires aside.
7. Turn away a fastening nut «mass» wires.
8. Remove «mass» wire from the bottom stud of the starter and take it to the side.
9. Turn out the top bolt...
10.... and the lower stud of the starter to the engine.
11. Remove the starter.
12. Install the starter in the reverse order of removal.
