1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Place the vehicle on secure stands and remove the right front wheel.
3. Remove the air filter (see «Removal and installation of the air filter and an air duct»).
4. Remove fender liner and right engine mudguard (see «Removal and installation of mudguards and engine crankcase protection»).
5. Remove accessory drive belts (see «Replacing accessory drive belts»).
6. Turn away a nut of fastening of a tip of a power wire and disconnect a wire from an output of the generator.
7. Wring out a clamp of a block of a plait of wires of a voltage regulator and disconnect a block from a regulator.
8. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the generator to an arm on the engine and remove the generator, lowering it down, under the car.
9. Install the generator in the reverse order of removal.
WARNING: Before installing the generator, push the threaded bushings a few millimeters into the holes in the rear legs of the generator. The bushings are installed in the holes of the legs with interference, so use a drift with a mandrel of a suitable diameter.
10. Turn the crankshaft three full turns and check that the belt is in the correct position on the pulleys.
