Replacement of steering column switches assembly with connector

If necessary, you can remove the steering column switches assembly with the connector. To do this, perform the following work.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



2. Remove the steering wheel, after setting it in the position corresponding to the rectilinear movement (see «Removal and installation of a steering wheel»).

3. Remove the top and bottom of the steering column cover (see «Removal and installation of a casing of a steering column»).



4. Remove the driver's airbag contact ring, see «Removal and installation of the contact ring of the driver's airbag»).

WARNING: To prevent damage to the airbag slip ring busbar, secure the ring from turning.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness pads from the steering column switches.




6. Turn out two screws of fastening...



7.... and move the immobilizer control unit away from the steering column.



8. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a connector.



9. Press the latch...




10.... and slide the connector off the steering column.



11. Install the switches in the reverse order of removal.
