1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Set the steering wheel to the position corresponding to the rectilinear movement of the car.
3. Remove the airbag module (see «Removal and installation of the driver's airbag»).
4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a steering wheel, keeping a wheel from turning.
WARNING: Do not turn out the steering wheel mounting bolt completely to avoid injury when the wheel is abruptly disconnected from the steering shaft splines. Completely unscrew the bolt only after you move the wheel from its place.
5. With a sharp blow of the hands along the axis of the steering shaft, knock the steering wheel off the splined tip of the shaft.
6. Completely turn out a bolt of fastening.
NOTE: Please note that there are marks on the end of the steering shaft and on the steering wheel hub for the correct reinstallation of the steering wheel. If the marks are hardly visible, additionally duplicate them, for example, with a marker.
7. Press the clamp of the wiring harness block...
8.... and disconnect the block from the contact ring of the airbag and horn.
9. Remove the steering wheel hub from the splines of the shaft, bring out the wire with the airbag block through the hole in the hub and remove the steering wheel.
WARNING: In order not to damage the airbag slip ring busbar, secure the ring from turning, for example, by gluing a piece of masking tape on it and on the steering column cover.
10. Install the steering wheel in the reverse order of removal. Apply an anaerobic threadlocker to the threaded portion of the steering wheel bolt.
WARNING: When installing the steering wheel, the mounting bolt must be replaced.
11. Tighten the mounting bolt to 30 Nm.
