You will need: key «at 11».
...and a special key «at 13» for brake lines.
Four brake hoses are used on a car: two (rear) for connecting pipelines to the working cylinders of the rear brake mechanisms and two (front) for connecting pipelines to the working cylinders of the front brake mechanisms.
USEFUL ADVICE: Always use special wrenches to loosen tube nuts, as the nuts are heavily tightened and usually corrode, as a result of which, when using ordinary wrenches, the edges of the nuts are crushed.
For replacement front brake hose perform the following operations.
1. For ease of operation, remove the front wheel from the side of the hose being replaced.
2. Loosen the bolt fitting that secures the lower tip of the brake hose to the caliper...
3.... Turn out a bolt union and disconnect a hose from a support.
NOTES: Plug the hose end holes in any way you can to prevent brake fluid from escaping.
The tip of the hose is sealed on both sides with copper washers. Replace the washers with new ones each time the joint is disassembled.
4. Remove the hose retainer from the bracket slot on the front suspension strut.
5. Turn away a nut of fastening of a tube to the top tip...
6.... disconnect the tube from the brake hose...
USEFUL ADVICE: To prevent complete leakage of fluid from the hydraulic drive, immediately plug the tube opening in any way possible. Protective valve caps for venting valves are very well suited for this purpose.
7.... remove the upper tip from the bracket on the body and remove the hose.
8. Install the new hose in the reverse order of removal.
WARNING: Be careful not to twist the hose when installing along the axis.
9. Replace the second front hose in the same way.
10. After replacing the hoses, bleed the air from the brake system (see «Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system»).
Rear hose replaced in much the same way. The difference is that it has two identical tips for connecting brake pipes.
In addition, to gain access to the upper hose tip, it is necessary to remove the rear wheel speed sensor holder from the bracket on the body.
