Replacing the tailgate opening limiter

You will need a key «on 10» (better socket head).

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

2. Remove the upholstery of the rear door (see «Removal and installation of an upholstery of a back door»).



3. Peel off the edge of the waterproof film from the inner door panel.



4. Turn away two nuts of fastening of the limiter to a door.



5. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the limiter to a rack of a body...



6.... and remove the limiter through the technological window in the inner panel of the door. Replace a damaged door opening limiter with a new one.

WARNING: After removing the stopper, hold the door to prevent it from opening too far. When the rear door is fully opened, it will hit the front door, which will lead to deformation of both doors.

7. Install the door opening limiter in the reverse order of removal.
