Notes on Adjusting the Automatic Timing Belt Tensioner

After installing the timing belt, turn the coolant pump clockwise until the tensioner pointer aligns with the mark on the tensioner mounting bracket.



Tighten the coolant pump mounting screws and rotate the crankshaft two turns. Loosen the coolant pump mounting screws and repeat the automatic tensioner adjustment procedure. Tighten the coolant pump mounting screws to 10 Nm.
