Withdrawal
To remove the fuel injectors, follow the steps below:
- carry out the operation of reducing the pressure in the fuel system. To do this, let the engine run for 10 seconds with the fuel pump off. To turn off the fuel pump, remove the fuse;
- disconnect the negative battery cable;
- unscrew the fastening screws and remove the decorative engine cover;
- unscrew the throttle position sensor connector;
- unscrew the idle valve connector;
- unscrew the intake air temperature sensor connector;
- unscrew the camshaft position sensor connector;
- unscrew the intake manifold pressure sensor connector;
- unscrew the fuel injector connector;
- remove the canister purge valve hose;
- remove the intake manifold pressure sensor hose;
- unscrew the mounting screws and remove the intake manifold bracket;
- disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail;
- disconnect the coolant hose from the throttle body;
- unscrew the fastening screws and remove the fuel rail along with the injectors;
- remove the injector clamps;
- remove the fuel injectors;
- remove the injector o-rings.
Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Injector o-ring installation note
Before installing the injectors in the fuel manifold, the o-rings must be lubricated with gasoline.
