Preparatory work
Before directly removing the generator, the following work must be performed:
- disconnect the negative terminal of the battery;
- disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector (IAT);
- remove the fastening clamps and the intake air pipe (see fig. T250 3.086);
- remove the battery connector nut from the alternator (see fig. T250 3.087);
- unscrew the screw securing the generator bracket (see fig. T250 3.088);
- remove the auxiliary drive belt;
- unscrew the nut and remove the alternator mounting bolt.
Disassembly
Disassemble in the order shown in the figure (see fig. Т250 3.090).
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
