- A. New V-ribbed belt.
- B. Worn V-ribs of the belt - the edges are pointed (the new one has a chamfer in the shape of a trapezoid).
- C. Cords protrude to the surface of the edges of the belt.
- D. Crosswise cracking of the rubber on the back of the belt.
- E. V-ribs are torn from the belt base.
- F. Surface cord wear.
- G. Cord burrs present.
- H. Transverse cracks on the working surface.
- J. Destruction of wedge ribs.
- K. Separate ruptures of wedge ribs.
- L. Dirt or small stones embedded in the fin material.
- M. Rubber defects at the base of the ribs.
V-ribbed belt replacement
1. Remove the air filter housing.
2. To loosen the belt tension, turn the screw (1) in a clockwise direction.
3. Without releasing the screw (1), remove the belt.
4 Lay the belt on the pulleys according to the diagram, loosen the tensioner again and put the belt on the idler pulley. Release the tensioner to tension the belt.
5. Install the air filter housing.
