If the keys are lost, the Chevrolet dealer can make a duplicate using the identification number.
Central locking with remote control (option)
The car doors are locked and unlocked using the remote control. The range of the remote control is 6 m.
To lock/unlock the doors, press the button» LOCK/UNLOCK». When the doors are locked, the hazard warning lights flash once and the anti-theft system is activated. When the doors are unlocked, the hazard warning lights flash twice and the anti-theft system is disabled.
Pressing the BOOT button for more than 1 second unlocks the trunk.
When using the remote control, the LED flashes once.
Anti-theft alarm
The anti-theft alarm is triggered if one of the doors, the hood or the trunk lid is opened without using the key or remote control. The light alarm will work for 28 seconds, after which it will turn off. To turn off the alarm, you need to open one of the car doors using the remote control or the key. If no doors, hood or trunk lid are opened within 30 seconds after the alarm is turned off, the system enters the original anti-theft protection mode.
If the alarm is not turned off, then after 28 seconds it goes into the original anti-theft protection mode.
Remote control pools
To prevent the vehicle from being unlocked by another remote control, each remote control has an individual electronic code. If the remote control is lost or stolen, a replacement remote control can be purchased from your Chevrolet dealer. To purchase a new or additional remote, show your dealer the remaining remote. After the dealer encodes the new remote control, the remaining remote control must also be recoded to match the changes. Once the new remote control has been electronically encoded, it will be impossible to open the car with the lost remote control. Up to 5 remote controls can be encoded for one car at the same time.
Replacing the remote control battery
Remote control battery type: CR1620.
If the LED does not light up while using the remote control, this indicates a low battery level. Unscrew the screw securing the remote control cover, remove the cover and replace the battery.
