1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove understeering switches.
3. Remove the bottom facing panel of the instrument panel.
4. Remove the top and bottom facing panels of a steering column.
5. Remove the steering wheel.
6. Remove the VCS.
7. Remove the forgotten ignition key indicator switch screws and remove the forgotten ignition key indicator switch.
8. Remove the illumination of the lock slot by unscrewing the fastening screw.
9. Remove the ignition lock.
10. Set steering to straight ahead.
11. Turn off a coupling bolt on the top connecting flange of a steering shaft. During installation, the coupling bolt is screwed in immediately after the steering shaft is inserted into the coupling flange.
12. Turn off the bolts holding a back arm of a steering column. When installing, tighten to 22 Nm.
13. Turn off the nuts holding a forward arm of a steering column. When installing, tighten with a torque of 22 Nm (see fig. T250 6.029).
14. Remove the steering column from the steering shaft flange.
15. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
