Vacuum booster — removal and installation

1. On cars. equipped with manual transmissions, disconnect the hose for feeding the hydraulic system of the clutch release drive. Close the openings of the expansion tank and tubes with plugs. Disconnect the TJ level sensor connector.



2. Unscrew the GTZ mounting nuts and move it to the side.

3. Remove the clamp securing the vacuum hose to the brake booster (connection shown for vehicles with an engine with two camshafts located on top).

4. Disconnect the switch of a control lamp of a brake.

5. Remove the brake pedal return spring.

6. Unpin and remove pin (2) fastening the pusher to the brake pedal.

7. Loosen the nuts (1) mounting the vacuum booster and remove the vacuum booster assembly.



8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
