1. Adjust the rear drum brakes.
2. Release the parking brake.
3. Raise the car.
4. Check the parking brake cables for free movement.
5. Lower the car.
6. Move the front seats forward to provide sufficient work space.
7. Twist and remove the plastic covers that cover the access holes to the screws securing the parking brake console cover with the tunnel brackets.
8. Remove the screws securing the parking brake console cover to the tunnel brackets.
9. Lift the console cover to gain access to the parking brake lever and adjusting nut.
10. Partially raise the car.
11. Turn the adjusting nut on the parking brake lever until the wheels are difficult to turn.
12. Loosen the nut until the rear wheels start to spin freely.
13. Lower the car.
14. Install the parking brake console cover, tighten the screws and install the plugs. Set the front seats to their original position.
