Assembly
1. Install the speedometer drive gear.
2. Install both differential bearings.
3. Install the drive shaft gears and thrust washers into the differential housing.
4. Install satellites and their washers in the differential housing.
5. Establish an axis of satellites in the case of differential.
6. Install the fixing pin of the axis of the satellites.
7. Install the final drive gear and tighten the fastening screws to 70 Nm.
8. Install the differential in the gearbox housing.
9. Install the right bearing holder and tighten the fastening screws to 25 Nm.
10. Install the bearing adjusting ring.
11. Adjust differential bearings.
Differential bearing adjustment
Tighten the bearing adjusting ring until there is no radial play in the differential. Adjust the differential bearing preload.
Old bearings: 1 Nm torque required to rotate differential at 60 rpm.
New bearings: Requires 2 Nm of torque to rotate the differential at 60 rpm.
Tighten or loosen the bearing ring adjuster to obtain the desired preload on the bearings.
Install the bearing adjustment ring retainer and tighten the fastening screw to 5 Nm.
12. Install the differential cover gasket, differential cover and tighten the fastening screws to a torque of 40 Nm.
