Checking the gearbox oil level

Remove the filler plug and check the oil level (the vehicle is on a level surface, with cold oil in the gearbox). The oil should reach the lower edge of the filler hole.

If the level is low, add SAE-80 oil through the filler hole until it overflows the bottom edge of the filler hole.
