Checking the clutch disc

1. Visual check:

• check the clutch surface for wear or oil contamination;
• check the damping springs for damage or weakening;
• Check the clutch disc for warping or bending. After checking, replace the clutch disc if necessary.

2. Checking the clutch disc:

• measure the depth of the rivet head from the surface of the clutch disc;
• replace the clutch disc if the measured value is below the limits.

Rivet head depth (limit value: 1.2 mm).



3. Checking the runout of the clutch disc in the direction of rotation:

• measure the runout with a dial indicator;
• if the runout exceeds the maximum allowable value, replace the clutch disc.
