Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the toothed belt.
3. Remove the rear of the timing case.
4. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.
6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
7. Remove the oil pan.
8. Remove the oil receiver and bracket mounting screws.
9. Remove the oil pump mounting screws.
10. Carefully remove the oil pump and gasket.
11. Clean the oil pump and the surfaces of the engine block to which the gasket is to be installed.
12. Remove the safety valve screw.
13. Remove the relief valve and spring.
14. Remove the screws from the rear of the timing case.
15. Remove the rear of the timing case.
16. Clean the oil pump housing and all its parts.
Installation
1. Inspect all parts for wear.
2. Apply clean engine oil to all parts of the oil pump.
3. Replace all parts.
Note. Fill all cavities of the oil pump with petroleum jelly to ensure bleeding. Otherwise, engine damage may result.
4. Install the rear cover of the oil pump and tighten the screws to 6Nm.
5. Install relief valve, spring, washer and screw.
6. Tighten the safety valve screw to 30 Nm.
7. Apply a bead of room temperature curing sealant (P.TV), on the oil pump gasket.
8. Install a new gasket on the oil pump.
9. Apply threadlocker to the threaded parts of the oil pump.
10. Install the oil pump on the block and tighten the mounting screws to 10 Nm.
11. Install a new oil pump cuff.
12. Cover the edge of the gasket with a thin layer of grease.
13. Apply threadlocker to the threads of the oil pickup screws and the support bracket screws.
14. Install the oil receiver and tighten the oil receiver screws to 10 Nm.
15. Install the oil pan.
16. Install the crankshaft position sensor and tighten the sensor screw to 10 Nm.
17. Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.
18. Install the rear of the timing case.
19. Install the timing belt.
20. Connect the negative battery cable.
