Replacement of steering rods with an internal spherical joint

Steering rods can be replaced without removing the steering gear, but to facilitate access to the elements and parts, it is recommended to remove the steering gear.

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the ball joint pin of the tie rod end from the steering knuckle using a puller (see above).

2. Loosen the tie rod lock nut and unscrew the tie rod end while holding the tie rod from turning with a wrench.

3. Count the number of threads of the tip when loosening so that you can pre-adjust the front wheel toe during installation.

4. Remove collars of anthers of a lath and remove anthers.

5. Turn the steering gear shaft so that the rack-to-tie rod joint extends as far as possible from the steering gear housing. 6. Holding the steering rack (for flat) open-end wrench, unscrew the tie rod with another wrench.

Installation

Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
