Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the expansion tank.
3. Disconnect the ABS harness connector from the block on the EMU.
4. Cover the connector and pad with tech cloth to prevent brake fluid from spilling onto the surface.
Note: Avoid getting air into the hydraulic unit or into the brake lines from the master cylinder. If air gets into the hydraulic device, it is necessary to bleed using the DBC7 ABS scanner program. If air has not entered the hydraulic device, the system will need a simple pumping.
5. Remove the nuts securing the brake pipes from the hydraulic device.
6. Remove the bracket bolts on the hydraulic unit.
7. Remove ABS DBC7 assembly.
Installation Notes
Tighten the brake tube mounting nuts to 16 Nm.
Tighten the ABS mounting bracket bolts to 22 Nm.
Add new brake fluid.
After installation, bleed the brake system.
Check the brake system for leaks.
Avoid contact of brake fluid with painted surfaces to avoid damaging them.
Removal and installation of the sensor of speed of a forward wheel
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and secure the vehicle well.
3. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the bolt and the front wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
Installation note
Tighten the front wheel speed sensor bolt to 9 Nm.
Removal and installation of the rear wheel speed sensor
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and secure the vehicle well.
3. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector from the rear axle.
4. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor O-ring.
Installation note
Tighten the rear wheel speed sensor bolt to 9 Nm.
