Attention: all work on the removal and installation of components, assemblies and parts of the car is recommended to be carried out with the battery disconnected. Work related to the removal and installation of passive safety elements (airbags and seat belt pretensioners), must be carried out only after reading the operating instructions and with the obligatory removal of the corresponding fuse and disconnection of the corresponding connectors.
The system consists of the following elements:
- Seat belts on the front seats (driver and passenger)
- Front seat belt pretensioners (option)
- Rear Seat Belts
- Child seat anchors (in the back seat of a car)
- Seat belt warning
Operating principle
Two front seats, two side rear seats and a middle rear seat are equipped with inertial seat belts. Each belt is equipped with an inertial coil and is fixed at three attachment points to securely hold the driver and passengers while the car is moving. The belt is wound on an inertial reel drum, which allows you to adjust the length of the belt and does not restrict movement during normal driving. However, with sudden changes in vehicle acceleration (acceleration or deceleration or frontal collision) there is an automatic blocking of the coil, and the belt keeps the human body from dangerous movements.
The driver's seat belt is equipped with a warning chime that will sound for 6 seconds when the ignition is turned on if the seat belt is not fastened.
The front seat belts can be equipped with (as an option) pretensioners (see section below «Airbags»).
